DOES THIS TRAVEL DIARY WHICH STARTED IN TURKEY STILL HOLD YOUR INTEREST?
This is a continuation of the Travel Diary and is dated 22nd. July 2010 Your day out with your Yahoo friend sounds lovely. I remember the pianos from last summer and it really is a lovely idea. It's such a nice area around St Paul's/Millenium Bridge - have spent many a lunch time walking along the river. That's quite funny about positng my emails. Blog is a good idea but can't really be bothered to be honest - content with emailing friends and family. Been in India for a week now. We spent five pretty tough-going days in Delhi (a mixture of visa issues (we've only been given 3 months as opposed to the 6 months we requested) and my stubborness in not wanting to dodge the down and dirty kept us there longer than most probably end up staying). The poverty and abject living conditions have to be seen to be believed - people p1ssing and sh1tting in public, kids not older than 10 cracking rocks on building sites and slums just about everywhere you look - around the train station was particularly depressing. The heat was like nothing i've experienced before - basically living in a steam room (we got a room with air-con and satellite tv to compensate). On the bright side thought the Gandhi memorial/museum was really interesting (good introduction into both his life and key events in India's history). Also really enjoyed the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Sikh temple (attractive gold onion-shaped domes on the outside and nice devotional songs being sung inside). Now in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh (north - en route to the India Himalaya where we plan on doing some trekking). The temperate weather (never thought i'd be grateful to have a day of cold, miserable, overcast weather!), the scenery, and the absence of poo smells all coming as welcome treats!!! Loving the sweet milky tea that they serve everywhere and the food has also been a real highlight - no dodgy stomachs yet but plenty of lovely curries and dosas. Loving the vegetable paneer curries!!! Love and miss you all very much, . . @ Nicky, Thank you for answering, all-be-it in a rather ungallant manner! . @ εClεCtiC Take a look at this short video of this most regal of animals... @ iph, You're right, it is rather like a blog! @ QUEEN P, why are you calling me a "pasteli"?...LOL @ Lite, I too would love to visit India... @ ♥ Barış Awareness♥ Thanks for being a subscriber and BTW...the young man is not my uncle!...LOL . The Life and Fate of the Indian Tiger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N25ggfwpnrQ . @ Gayreek Cigar, Thank you...You are TOO kind!

Home of the tiger; India. That's the only place on earth tigers can live in. I would like to see a tiger on sight in the wild, from a long, long and long distance. It could be one of the reasons for me to visit India one day. **** As seen on the video, poachers hunt them illegally. No wonder why they are listed endangered. They say there are only 4,000 tigers left around the whole world. Some people pay incredible amount of money to obtain one tiger skin. Thats why so many people in India have injuries caused by tigers, or even dead.

YES....!!!.....iam old.....and u are!! sweet and sweeter? what no sesame seeds !!! pasteli my foot.... your bloger seems to have come across the uglest side of delhi and india iam supprised he had not added corpses on the road left there for weeks unclaimed..now that is some thing ..but as ..sqaullwer as it is delhi is very old city which needs to be modernized..the trouble is that ITS DELI..just like any other capital city..the poor will eventuall overtake it to survive. more than ever what supprises me is the food as ur bloger says yummy and no gastro as yet.. i gues in that respect FRESH IS BEST.. the fact that things come out of cans is not ur healthiest choice..i remeber in greece freshly caught marida(small fry) was cooked with in the hour of being caught and it was so delecious the flavours of fresh are really wonderfull i think ur bloger will like the treking to the himalatic part of india..but he shall also love the bombay south city... there india is heading in tot he 22 snd century many new buildings are beging built and large bussiness have been establsihed , not to mention BOLLYWOOD. still there is sqauller but eventually bobmbay will over come delhi as the new capital i think i recentley saw a documentary on the indian railways.. its amazing what goes on thier ,also the hiegt rate of suicede happens there in indiaspecially in the big stations mostly young people with no prospects ..we forget that INDIA IS STILL A CAST SYSTEM and a population of 1 billion +plus..the prospects for a young person is bleak if they havent got a job by an early age ..and it snot just dog eat dog there its cat eat dog..rat eat cat and dog eat rat.. etc etc..on daily basis.. the only reason i would visit india would be for the shiekiest relegion and thier benelovent system of feeding the populace in large dinning houses ..its some else to witness let alone experince.. every body is a voluneter and every body.contributes..by any means.. i have enjoyed ur friedns blog ..cant wait for the next ..i wish he would send some pics..?

Yes, I am an avid subscriber... It is true, you have to see it to believe it. In the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" it depicts much of what he witnessed, but seeing it up close and personal must of been quite the eye opener... Well sounds like he has gotten a real taste of beautiful, awful, and the in between already... Looking forward to the next edition ;) Oh yea, it is not your uncle, that was an error.. Sorry..;)
