What can I do in Minneapolis?
I'm travelling to Minneapolis-St. Paul and I am planning to spend a few days there. Can anyone suggest what to do there? Are there any guided tours?

I believe the Mall of America is there (biggest in the world???) ghost tours are always fun http://www.minneapolis.worldweb.com/ToursActivitiesAdventures/CemeteryGhostTours/ visit the local blues music scene. http://www.mnblues.com/blues-clubs.html Minisota is is known for it's lakes (land of 10,000 lakes). If weather permits, take some guided tours of the area.

Well, I'm not sure what you like to do but some suggestions: Minneapolis/St. Paul has a vibrant theater scene. You could catch a play. There is also a casino about 30 minutes away from downtown, in Prior Lake, it is called mystic lake, so if you like to do a bit of gaming you could go there. There are often free shuttle buses leaving they city (www.mysticlake.com for shuttlesschedule). They also have a great science museum in St. paul. Right now the special exhibit is CSI, how cool! They also have an Omnitheater which is a lot of fun. There is the Mall of America, if you haven't been there you should go, but it is just a really big mall. You could go to the Walker Art center if you are into art. They have the sculpture gardens there which are a lot of fun to see. If you want to hang with some of the locals, you can take a walk or rollerblade, bike, run whatever around one of the lakes. My favorite is Lake Calhon in Minneapolis. In st. paul there is also Como Zoo, Park and Conservetory (www.comozooconservatory.org) or the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, the opened a new Russia Exibit featuring Grizzly Bears. For night life, you can check out citypages.com they have a listing of clubs/bars that have live bands and also what is playing at different theaters. The are lots of really great restraunts downtown, I like Fogo de Chao a lot and Chino Latino in Uptown (also a fun area to check out). If you haven't been here, you should know that the public transportation isn't the best, they have light rail to downtown MSP and the Mall of America and the Airport, there are taxis and buses, but the think about the Twin Cities area is that places are spread out, it isn't so easy to walk from one place to another so keep that in mind. You may want to consider a rental car if you haven't. If you have time i'd reccomend driving to Stillwater, they have a great downtown right on the st. croix and it is really fun there. There are also tons of great places outside the metro area too, but i'm not sure how much time you have. Also you should check out exploreminnesota.com
